ANYONE with UM oil tank, NEED HELP

I bought a UM oil tank and started putting it in. The directions tell you to take the headers off, and then take the stock oil tank out. Then put the UM tank in but do not bolt it down. THen it says put the headers back on, after that bolt the tank on.

Well I took the headers off and put the UM tank in. I CAN NOT get the headers back on with the oil tank in. YEs the tank isn't bolted down yet .........It just won't fit.

I'm getting very frustrated.

It can be done. Just keep rotating the header and lift the tank up as high as you can. My header touches the heat shield on the tank. Make sure you replace the copper gaskets at the header too. Does anybody know if aftermarket headers are shorter at the bends?
