well i do have a few rap songs and stuff but im not real into, at least as not much into as i am into rock and metal, more into metal, yea im a metal head, but i do need time to chill to and its good to just relax sometimes, i do have a couple usher songs, but thats cuz my sister has them and i listen to them whenever they come up on the computer, they are good but not as good as tool or staind IMO

Some good "chill out" songs:

"Ghost of Tom Joad" Rage Against The Machine

"Last Caress" The Misfits (yes, they did it before Metallica)

"Today" The Smashing Pumpkins

"Blueprint" Fugazi

"Sober" Tool

Anything by The Cure (I know they're not heavy, but perfect for relaxing)

"Dumb" Nirvana (especially the unplugged version)

These are just a few suggestions. I know you said you don't dig on hip-hop/r&b, but if you really want something mellow, check out the album "The Low End Theory" by A Tribe Called Quest. This is one hip-hop type album I can't live without.

author- GiGi D Agostino

his songs are kind of weird, and some of them are for clubs and stuff, but a few of them make me really tired and depressed, they will put you in a real cool state of mind!

I can't believe I forgot these guys - anything by Nick Cave (as a solo artist) or Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds; If you do check any of his stuff out, just make sure you don't have any razorblades handy.... LOL

in huevos V where they are in namibia or whatever, they play this instrumental song thats pretty cool. Theres two different songs with the same name however, the full versioned song is hard rock with tons of screaming but theres a 1:36 version that im talking about thats just instrumental. It's called A Short Walk Down A Long Hallway and its by Eighteen Visions.
