i AM GOING TO START TO DRESS UP MY QUAD.ANYONE KNOW ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE HORSE POWER I WILL GET.

WHITE BROS E-SERIES PIPE AND HEADER,WHITE BROS REV KIT,AND K AND N POWER KIT?

kNOW ANY OTHER THINGS I COULD GET TO ADD HORSE POWER.

You'll gain 2-4 HP max out of that setup you mentioned,,to get real HP out of a 400ex,,you gotta tear into the motor..then it's on like a pot of neckbones...:D

I agree with rico you need to tear into the motor. You dont half to bore it just get some head work done and a cam and you will be set.

Well you'll like the added power,,it will feel like alot more power than you think,,just about all pipes on the market will give you the same results,,,do some reading and searching on here you'll find every possible setup known to man kind,,but what you mentioned will get you goin in the right direction..

With the mods u mentioned, your quad will have more throttle response and it will run much better. I don't recommend the rev-limiter upgrade.

Do your mods then tear into the engine later on.

Knighttime how do you like your XR cam? And why did you go with that cam?

O yea and trickiest400ex, 4hp is a lot better than nothing at all, there are so many pipe/header combos out there you could take your pick and be happy with almost all of them. For the rev-limiter upgrade I cant tell the difference between the stock cdi and wb cdi.

Like rico said when you put a pipe airfilter (and you gotta do jets) you will feel a pretty nice difference also if you plan on doing any other motor work I dont think the stock pipe will work it will be to restrictive. Also were you being serious about $1000 Is should cost you half that.

Pipe about $450
K&N kit about $115

Dont get the rev kit. You dont need it and you prolly wont like it.

i started modding my 400, i started out with the cheaper stuff. Gabes mod to the pipe, k&n filter, jet kit, and removal of chock.
With these four mods you will notice a difference in how your quad runs..

My next step will be a 416 and a xr cam

4 hp doesn't sound like much, but on sometihng that starts with around 26-27 that is a healthy jump, but there is nothing like a nice piston and cam and.....well you know what I mean.

Theres nothing like a ChadEXer 400EX...LOL, or TrX465's bike, or maybe even a HOTT440EX Special...but once you tear into the motor, you usually end up spending money on the suspension just to keep the motor usable...i had to.

if it was me i think that i would put in a 416 kit, xr cam, remove the choke, grind the welds in the headder, and put in a jet kit and make it a sleeper:D that will cost prob. around 400 and people will think your bike is stock

Mine is a 300EX:D
thats why i went ahead and had my suspension done while my motor was out of my bike because I knew I would need it:D

not to sound stupid, but why would you remove the choke, what are the bennifits, and how do you do it? thanx to all those people who cut of their chokesLOL!:D

When you pull the choke out of the carb it takes that little slide that the choke moves on out. It helps it flow better. It works too!!

You mean removing the choke from the carb?? Im not sure because I had it done with other things but i have heard from many that it definately helps
DiceMan I havent got the motor back from TC yet so i dont know how fast it is yet. For all the $$$ Im handin out it better be the fastest in the world:D
