Send it to a reputable engine builder. CT, Sparks, etc. The only engine builder I'v heard bad things from is Trinity. It costs like 2 grand to get some good HP out of a 400ex. Maybe it would be better to sell the 400 and buy a new 450r imo if your going to spend that much cash, seems like you want to be out in front.

i will bye a 450r next year but for now i want to get more hp out of my 400ex... i was on another site and i found this i want to no if you can get this much hp out of this ............................................


you should tell your buddy to talk to lrd about getting some bigger valved to let that thing breathe. i just had mine dyno'ed and it pushed 52.4 hp on 110 octane and with only 11.1 on a 416cc motor. i know every dyno is diffrent but i cant grasp the thought that it needs that much paddle. you should check out all the modds mine has and your buddy might get some idea's to work with to get that thing running like a scalded dog. Just yesterday i raced white_racings z400 which is piped and jetted. and it was no contest not even conparable. i didnt walk away i flat out ran away.
