Does anyone have a good answer for pulling studs on a 500ex engine. This is 2 weekends in a row I have pulled the left stud on the head. I even heli-coiled every stud and used the Curtis Sparks long stub kit and it only lasted 2 laps tonight. I think monday I will call Duncan Racing and order thier PC4000 billit cylinder. Any help would be great....Thanks

Yeah just do the FDO studs, the Sparks are junk, they are a little longer but that about it, the FDO studs are huge.

They might lag on getting the studs to you (FDO) so allow for some downtime on your quad. They seem to not answer the phone much and are a very busy company.

call in the evening m-f, between 7:30-9:30. ask for mike or randy, they'll set you up.

What about going with a slightly lower compression engine? The benefits of ultra high compression are highly over rated. Try running 110 octaine in an 10.5:1 compression engine.

I definately recommend FDO HD studs. Yes, they are spendy, but my little ol' 416 would pull out the stockers. No probs with these.

Actually ,ost are runnign 10.8:1, so even 10.5 is going to pull studs. He should get the studs and be done with
