What will fit if anything from my 400ex on the 450r i know the handlebars and wheels and tires but what about like the shocks and a-arms and just shocks? How about axle, what about Nerf Bars? Will the front bumper, cuz i know that the 300ex and 400ex front bumpers are really close. Let me know and if its worth it for me to even get one. Is the HRC kit worth the money or should i save the 300 and get a really good exhaust?

my 400 is slowly evolving into a 450, so i'm pretty familliar with what fits and doesn't: front bumper, footpegs, front shocks for sure, although may need to be re sprung if you're using longer a arms than the 450 ( ex arms are 1.5 inches shorter than 450r), brake lines. also, i put a hrc kit in my buddy's 450. don't believe what the magazines tell you, the hrc kit makes it rip! if it were my quad, i'd try to buy just the cam though, the stock exhaust is still restrictive, even with the hrc cap. they only did that to make the kit affordable. the hot setup would be a good full system with a jet kit, hrc cam and the hrc airbox lid (i think it's a better idea than no lid since it deflects mud etc. from the filter). i liked the fact that the kit was a ll nice factory parts, everything fit perfect, and it ran mint right outta the box. i would recommend gearing down one tooth in the front, the cam takes a miniscule amount of power from off idle and puts a lot more on top. good luck

they won t work properly, it might fit, but the performance will suck... buy a set of shocks that are designed and valved for your bike and your riding style...

or you can buy the set of elkas i am trying to sell, make me an offer...

400extracc: get the 450r shocks! as long as you're not racing, they will be perfect. i put lighter springs on mine because i'm 160 and running stock a arms. these are a gigantic improvement over stock! email me if you'd like pics on how to install them without doing a hack job (i sent them to 2 other members already). this is the best mod i've done to my quad (well these and lightening the flywheel, that made a huge difference too)-
