Clicking!

im riding a 92 250x stock except for a supertrapp pipe lately its been makin a nasty clicking sound and it increases when my revs do...my one friend said its the timing chain from running low oil and sum1 else told my that its my rings or sumthing to do w/my cylinder and piston, do u guys have any idea and if so would it be fixed if i bored it out?

its tough to tell with that description. where is the noise coming from? it could be timing chain, timing chain tensioner, improper valve adjustment, etc

all i know is its comig from the head and its getting really loud....if its the timing chain then is it somethign i could fix easily of should i take i to a shop?
