250R style plastic on 450R? Anyone done it?

Just checking to see if anyone has tried to put 250R style plastic on the 450R yet? You would have to use a 250R gas tank also. I know it'd take some major jerry-rigging too.

But it would look freakin' AWESOME!

It'd have the CRF look....

i think the stock 450r plastic looks 10 times better then 250r plastic.

I saw somewhere on here and they had the 250R style carbon fiber hood and it was the most ugly thing I've ever seen. Stock plastic looks much better IMO.

heh, if ya notice the guys who have had 250Rs appreciate the plastic! Ya have to stay true to your roots and respect the legend. I seen that pic of the 250R quad tech hood on teh 450, was ugly! I'm just saying, a full set of 250R style plastics!

thinking about trying it tomorrow, just to see how far off it will be. will take some pics!

they def won't fit...think about it...but that would be awesome cuz that look looks amazing

Heh, i'm glad someone agrees! Yeah, i know it wont fit right up. I was thinking, if you could see how far off it was.....a man that was good at jerry rigging stuff really well could make it fit. Have to make some new mounting brackets but man, if ya could get it to work and look right?? It'd look awesome!

I just tried it and the rear wouldn't be a lot of work but the front would be a lot of work and alot of jerry riggin

well it would look awsome but I was using my buddies old white plastic and the plastic looked like crap. The kicker will not fit in the plastic wright it sticks out a little. I was wrong the front wasn't as hard as it looked. the front plastic has to be bent around the tank and there is a gap between the top of the tank and top of plastic it looks goofy. if I can get a camera tommarow I will take a pic and have a friend try to post it if he can't do it can any of you do it?

Yeah, I would try to use a 250R tank if i tried it. E-mail the pics and I'll try to get them posted. I'd really like to see it.....
