View Full Version : WHen ur 400ex is in the air.. Is the wheels suposed to turn when clutch is pulled in?

Ok, i have my 400 in the air... and i have it in gear but pull the clutch in and start it.. the wheels turn... but it i hit the brake and let off the brake they dont spin no more.. is this normal?? I mean when on the ground and the clutch is in, its doesnt move, but i had it on alift and i noticed starting it, the wheels started turning?? Just wanna know sumthin about it and why it does that??

wait its confusing, so you have your quad on a stand in gear you pull the clutch in and the wheels spin? do they spin fast or slow? maybe ya need a clutch it sounds like its slipping, is it a steady spinning or is it like spin stop spin stop kind of motion?

That is normal. If you just grab the trie with your hand it should stop, their is very little pressure there but it is enough to keep the tires spining while in the air

it is normal for the tires to spin when they are in the air. nothing to be concerned about, as long as the same doesn't happen when it is on the ground.
