Terrible CLICKING noise..Help!

I have just started riding my 2001 300 EX.
I hear a very noticable clicking, ratcheting sound when turning or going over bumps.
It will even do it when the motor is off.

I replaced all the brakes and that did not solve anything. I have checked for loose parts and cannot find anything. Is this normal? A common problem? The bike is stock, except for the pipe.
Any help would be appreciated.

Check the chain and sporckets, a arms, swing arm, could be the bearings. Is it comming from the front or the rear.

Thats the only way, start at the front and check them all. All though sound like a tie rod or ball joint loose, check your steering stem bushing too.;)

it is probably the chain rubbing against the case saver
