Firts mods I would do are

1 - remove the parking brake.. i'ts only about 10$ for a block off plate

2 - get rid of those usless (in my opinion) stock tires... i had about 2-3 falt tires for every tank of gas I put in the bike

3 - change handle bars..

Casey,
Congrats on the new wheeler. You got one heck of a nice quad. I have never seen anyone take better care of their ride than Jim did.

You are lucky in that you already have a pretty good platform to work off of. It has quite a bit already done to it. I would suggest looking into shocks before anything else. Then you will want to get better tires. The rest is a personal thing. It would be so tempting to work at the race shop and see all those parts everyday and not go hog wild buying them. I have recently been on a spending frenzy for mine.

I have bought shocks, retro fitted the rear with the elka conversion, graydon nerfs, the 416 motor work, case saver, headlight covers, FCR carb, and beadlock rears with xct tires. I went overboard buying things.

Make out a plan of attack on what you want to do. Then try to work on it little by little. It's gonna be tough but just think you are already riding a pretty well setup quad. The shocks would be the only hindering factor.

Also Jim said something to me about a bent front rim. I may have one that you could use to hold you over, it's a stocker but has a gouge in the outer rolled bead. It works fine and seems to be straight. Let me know.

Get your skid plates, nerfs, and bumper (you paid alot of money for it so you might as well protect it a little bit).

What Kind of Riding do you do? If you MX get A-Arms, Axle, and Shocks First. If I could do it all over I would have gotten Shocks first. Start on the Chassis first.

Hopefully, it'll be mine here in about 10 mins. He's on his way up to check it out. I told him all he needs is the shocks. I've done everything else for him already! lol

those "useless stock tires are used by alot of pros in muddy/wet conditions.

they actually hook up better than hole shots in the mud.

I would get skids and bumpers first.

then do the clutch lever, brake block off, case saver

me
1. ac racing pro peg nerfs
2. ac racing bumper
3. cr high bend bars

Those mods were the first mods i did and I think those were the ones that really make a big differance to me.... sept for the ac racing bumper that don't help much but better than buying a new frame when i hit a tree head on. 4 would be to have it jetted properly, 6 is shocks.

If you MX: Laeger +2 A-Arms, Elka Triple Rate SSD Comp. Adjust Fronts, AC Pro-Peg Nerfs, Nac`s Headlight Covers, Kill Switch, Elka Rear Conversion, RPM Dominator Axle, and some Douglas or Hiper Beadlocks with Razr MX.

JCV was saying that it was his quad that Casey was buying. The only thing that is really needed are the shocks. The motor was already done, it has nerfs, nacs headlight covers, e-series pipe, and skid plates. Just needs some shocks. PEPs, Elkas, Works, or Axis? Everything else is just a personal touch.

That`s what I thought, but I wasn`t sure. Yeah you just need some Shocks, A-Arms, and a Axle.

yeah, I was just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in "Mod world" and I made the mistake of riding a C'dale. I was on the phone ordering shocks and tires (final step!) and found out about a C'dale for a heck of a price. I shot Casey an email, went and rode a Canninbal, and it was done....well after 4 hours of beating my head off the wall trying to decide what to do!

Basicly, the money I was about to spend on shocks and tires, got me into a new Canninbal with nerfs, hydraulic clutch, Big Gun pipe, Blaze Mapping, and the Ohlins shocks.
