Me and my buddy were talking HP numbers and he was thinking with a 416 and mild porting, X-6 exhaust and Sparks Rev kit and FCR39MM, oh it is a 11:1 (ross I think) he should be around 38 rear wheel hp. At fisrt I thought this was a little high, but I did see some dynos where a 416 hit 38 and some that didnt.

Maybe Im wrong and it is around 38, if I am wrong I will admit it :D

We used to run a 416, 11:1 JE piston, Stage II Hot Cam, WB Slip on, Head ported by Thumper Racing, Lid off, K&N, no choke. I had it dynoed to check the air fuel mixture, and I didn't really care about the HP numbers (It was plenty fast for XC racing). But I will say that it was not that high (38). We did the testing with Razr II tires on the back (not great for dyno).

Ours is actually a 426 now and we are racing a new yfz450 so I haven't botherd having it dynoed again "yet".

it all depends on the work thats done and who did it. im sure sparks could build a 416 to reach 40hp but hp isnt what really matters , its torque that you want

I agree, but you cant have torque without horsepower.

Mine dynoed in at 33.5 RWHP(SAE) on a Dynojet 150 dyno. Mods are my signature.

Yeah CT Racing built my 416 he had ran a dyno on another 400 with the same mods and it ran 38 at the rear wheels. :D Im going to take mine to cascade innovations here in a week or two and have dyno tested, Just for fun.

Thats exactly whay happened to my 426 with 11:1, sparks X-6, FCR39mm. It wasnt from to much power, but I down shifted from 5th into 4th on accident, it loaded the rod up and boom, the cylinder cracked, the middle cases, rod broke and hot the bottom of the engine.

Is the 426 faster than the YFZ? If the yamaha has alot of mods, I will assume it's not.
