400EX Chain slack and tooling

Hey guys, new to the sport quad thing. I've riden all my life, with 4x4 quads and bikes. On to the topic...
Chain slack the same as a dirt bike? 1" to 1.5"? What size allen is require to loosing the axle housing bolts? Any lube reccomendations? Thanks for the help!

Chain slack should be about 1 in.To loosen the 4 bolts on the swing arm you need a 6mm.I always prefer to use a chain wax but used motor oil works just as good.Welcome to the site.

i'd like to add to that.. tighten one bolt a little at at time when your done.. you dont want to strip any of them..
