alright guys, i'm just about ready to build my 450r now but i am having some trouble. i want to make my bike 50 inches wide and try to bring the wheel base pretty close to 52 inches. now it looks like i am going to need a +2 +1 front end and a +1 1/4 rear end. also will i need a +3 or +4 axle to get me to 50 inches? i just called houser and they said they don't make the a arms pushed forward at all. i was wondering if you guys new of any arms that will meet these specs.

the rest of the bike i think i have figured out. i am going to be riding a lot of track, trail, and dunes. for the shocks i am going to get the long travel elkas and for the wheels i am going to get hypers, all black, with kenda klaws mounted on them.

other question i had is about the cam but there are a lot of post already about that so i will just do a search.

as soon as i figure out which arms and swinger i'm getting, i will start the build.

it looks like they don't push the arms forward either. does this make the 450rs handle funny?

on my crf450 that i built with a lonestar chasis i had +3 arms with +1 forward and a +1 1/4 swinger. the chasis was based off of 400ex geometry and it handled great. i want to get similar handling out of my new 450r.

The +1 forward will make the bike push in the corners. The best set up I have found is +2 1/2 makes the bike close to 50 with Hiper 4/1 and a +1 swingarm. I have Eyeball Eng. A-arms you might take a look at them perfect fit and they work really good.

I believe Roll Design is using a +1 forward set up on its TRX450R a arms. I coulnt see Honda getting away from the built in frame rake so that a forward arm is necassary:confused:

+1 forward will not get rid of the light front end it will make it worse, by moving the arms 1 inch forward you moved more weight to the rear tires and made it lighter in the front, just thought this needed cleared up. I like the eyeball arms, Jeff at eyeball used my 450r stuff to jig up his arms and swingarm his products are really strong check them out.

exactly....plus a guys from WORKS said you can screw your geometry all up.

I would do the +1 forward mods on a blaster or a 300ex....but not the R's

i have +2 & -1 a arms. the front end is not as light as it used to be. i also have a +1 swingarm and it helps a lot. the front end of my bike does not want to come up like it used to. i would recommend they housiers a arms. i got a guy here locally who builds a arms and swingarms and he built all mine. the bike does not push in the corners either. i am running 3-2 off set wheels. it sits a little under 50 inches wide. if there is any questions, hit me up at my aim address. its posted in my signature. well i hope this helps.

thanks for the input guys.

i think now i want to get +2 1/2 +0 arms and a +1 1/4 swing arm with a plus 3 axle.

i want to run 4/1 offset in the frt. with the +2 1/2 that should bring me pretty close to 50 iches right?

very very soon my 450r will be built.

to many choices to make!!! aaahh!!

get JRD +3 LT. they have a true +3 setup and it is kickin. I have it on my R and wow is it amazing. $850 for all chromed arms. and they use heim joints. Same arms as roll at a fraction of the cost.
