well today i was riding and my friend noticed it was smoking today... which isnt good because it was just rebuilt.. im kinda p1ssed off. it smokes at idle and when you rev it little less then half throttle it will smoke but after that i cant tell if it smoking or not.. it doenst seem to have a difference in power.. its a blueish white smoke.. and i cant describe the smell.

anyone help?

im running castorl syntec 20w50 full synthedic and 94 octane gas

if it was just rebuilt the rings may still be trying to seal.... if it has been a good while then you are blowing oil passed your rings...... which pretty much means you didnt get a good seal the first time you broke it in, this is the only thing that i know of that would cause this.

there is about 25+ hours on it.. and all of a sudden it started doing it.

Check the vent hose and make sure it's not plugged or pinched. How does the oil look, clean? If it still has that 185 jet in there take it out and put in a new 165 or 162 in there. Don't ride it anymore if it has the 185 in there! Then change the oil and put some dino oil in for a while....not synthetic. With that huge main jet you may have washed the cylinder down. The rings should reseat, but it'll take a while.

i have the 165 in there. the vent hose is good. the oil was just changed about 2 weeks ago.. castrol full synthedic 20w 50
its like a dark carmel color. when i put it in it was a carmel color.

is it safe to run that dino oil in since i had the synthedic? were do i get it? how about lucas?

Sorry, you weren't born when us dinosaurs were! What I meant was to get rid of the synthetic for a while and put some regular, non-synthetic, oil back in. It probably started smoking when you had the 185 in there. You didn't by chance sneak some regular gas in the tank did you????????????

i thought you couldn't go from a senthedic to a regular oil because it will gum up or something... and nope nothing bug 94 in there.
