Spark arrestor what do they do?

nope they sure dont. All a sparky does is keep your exhaust sparks in the muffler so that you dont burn down your ridin area.

I have also heard that they can rob power from u cause they do not let your quad flow enough

They do rob you of HP!

There main purpose is to keep any spark from exiting your exhaust system.

Stock style arrestors will rob power, any decent aftermarket screen type arrestor isnt going to hurt power at all,,,,,
