400ex

Im going to be buying a new 400ex soon and i was just wondering if it would feel like it had a lot of power when i got it.Also how about when i get used to it, will i be exited every time i get on it? I've never had a wheeler but have ridden a lot of them. a ds 660 z400 blaster and yfz which was unbelivable. just wondering:D

The 400EX will feel like it has power when you first get on it, if it's your first "sport" quad I would suggest you not just get on the gas like you are an expert. Take it easy the first few hours...then you can rip on it. Every time I get on my 400 I'm am pleased with the power it has, it never bores me or anything...it can still toss me around and I've almost lost control a few times. Keyword: almost...of course I can handle more power and would like it...but that power may not necessarily be practical for where I live. I don't think I'll be getting rid of my 400 for a while.

thanks a lot! looking at what you have for "go fast" i plan to get hmf full system and k&n filter and kit.....also i plan on nerfs dont knwo waht kind.......and bars...so it will get me around the pit pretty quick? or at least have some power...i'll be riding with a yfz ds pred. trx dvx and some others. i ride on some trails and hit some jumps it will do right..

Well, you won't be the fastest out in the pits...looking at the list of people you'll be riding with. I'm assuming the TRX is a 450R...if not a 400EX - the DVX is the closest thing you will be with, but with the HMF full system you'll most likely beat him...you will be able to keep up with all of those quads though it's not like it's a 90CC vs a 450R.

i havent gotten bored of my ex. only wish it didnt have that stock exhaust. cant hear when to shift when riding with friends or i hear nothing but the whiney engine when im by myself.:p

i got mine aleast 2 months ago and still enjoy the power alot....not boring at all especially after u pipe and jet it:blah: :devil:
