in a while i will be buyin a new quad to replace the trail blazer, i ride just for fun in a quarry mainly, there are plenty raptors and blasters there but not much else in the way of sport quads.

i was thinking of buyin a 2nd hand 400ex, but im not sure,

how does the 400ex do against a raptor on accelaration(sp?) on the drag strip there the raptor doesnt hit top gear, only to the middle of forth gear about. so would the ex beat the raptor if they were both stock?

the raptor will beat it in a drag race but that is all a raptor is good for...I would try to find you a ued 400ex & you can go everywhere they can go & you iwll be faster then them through the technical stuff b/c the raptors cant handle worth **** compared to a 400ex or anything else.

raptors suck. go with the 400. but the suz z400 is liquid cooled and has reverse!

i'd say go with the 400ex if you dont mind the lack of power and speed but in most cases accept for dragging you will have an advantage with handling and stuff. Plus the 400ex is getting to be very cheap with the 450r coming out.

the 400ex isnt down on power and speed. 65mph is up there. its not like its a 250ex.
