i like the look of black plastics alot, only thing bad about them is the white spots that show up from wear on them, looks good tho, have any troubles mounting them?

it actually wasnt that bad mounting them i thought it would be really hard because everyone says that it is so i was worried but they worked out great

The black fenders look great! you'll probably want to put some kind of graphics on the side panels, or they will get scratched up in no time. Believe me, mounting the race cut fenders is much easier than assembling and then shaving full front fenders. Of course you have to figure out what to do with the ignition key and indicator light, as there is no place to mount them on the race cuts.
BTW : What kind of nut shaves his XC fenders?

I really don't remember. It was at some powersports site in a classified ad. I can't remember what the site was though. Sorry.

If it was my 400ex I'd leave the headlights on there and shave the plastics because I'm a lot more of a trail rider than a racer... I ride at night all the time.
