it looks sort of underpowered! and think the length of the run times wouldnt be good while keeping the weight down

The thing about electric motor's is they don't have as much horsepower. Not as great of a pull back motion when ya rev them up. I dunno how much I would like them.
A disel one would be intersting. I've always loved the sound of a disel truck...:blah: Still wouldn't have as much of a pull back effect, but it'd work..

because of the light weight and dirtbike form it must have great suspension, id like to have one, say if i was in new york city.

actually electric motors have alot of torque. for comparble size in motor and engine a motor really rips up. so that isnt a good comparsion but i dont think it would have the life we would be looking for unless it went with a li-poly or li-ion battery!;) also a good esc would be needed:macho

Back in the day, Dirtwheels and such would compare a built motor to electric. They would say such bs as "the powerband is linear, almost electric-like."

Whatever..
I just felt the urge to post.:p

Motocross Action did an article on a bike like that back in 2000 around the time of the election. They called it the "Gore Replica".

electric motors are still weak in horsepower but can generate up to 4 times as much torque as a gasoline engine in practical applications.

still... a quiet quad just doesn't work for me

honestly that thing is gay. anyone who says that they like that thing, can jump in their honda insight or toyota prius, go down to their local meat market, pick up some "friends" and drive off a cliff holding hands and listening to Clay Aiken. F that.

Hey RMX500, I noticed you are in costa rica. How is the atv scene over there. The reason I'm asking is that my father moved over there to retire a few years ago and i was thikingof visitig him.

Are there places to rent quads, (not electric ones) and ride?
