I am looking into new tires for my 400ex. I want to keep the stock rims because they are in good condition. I am leaning towards razrs. I just wanted some opinions on the tires and more importantly can I put the 20 x 11 x 9 razrs on my stock rims. The fronts are the exact same size as stock so that is not an issue. thanks for the help.

i really like razrs. there not as soft as holeshots so the last longer. they also hook up great. that tire size will fit fine on your stock rims.

As long as the last number on the tire is the same as the first numbe of the rim it will fit.

Stock rear rim is 9x8
Stock front rim is 10x5.5

The 20x11x9 Razors will fit the stock rear rims.

thanks for the quick replies. I prefer the razrs because I do alot of riding on hard pack terrain. I was thinking of getting kenda klaws up front, but rocky mountain does not have them in stock. The best price I have found so far is from rocky mountain atv anyone know where i could find a better deal?

If rocky mountain atv doesnt have them in stock try dennis kirk they guarantee that they will beat any advertised price by a buck on any tire. Im getting new tires right now too and i want to go with razrs or shredder R/A tires.

Just like he said. But you have to watch those stock rims; if you're getting them mounted by somebody else they better have some experience or they won't seal right. Aluminum wheels are harder to seal tires on than steel rims.

I have never had problems sealing. Now breaking the bead thats a problem.Take them to someone who has experiance with ATV rims,if not you will probably learn some new cuss words.Setting the bead takes nerve I'm allways afraid the tire is going to blow up and when it does "pop" on the bead I usually jump a foot or two.I have had to put as much as 50 psi in a tire to set the bead.

The 20x11x9 rears will help to protect the edges of the rims as well and look really square on the rim. You'll be super happy with them.

Bill Fuller is right its not the sealing of the bead thats hard, its breaking the bead on the old tires. I reccomend using some dish soap to lube the bead of the tire to help get it to seat.
And if your having trouble getting them to seal, make sure the bead on the rim is clean and free of nicks.
