300 ex head cover leaks need help

My 98 300ex head cover leaks oil on the left front side(when sitting on bike). I need suggestions on sealers, glues any types of fixes. Please help. Thanks in advance

Are you talking about a gasket leaking? If so just replace the head gasket

It is the top cover that holds the rocker arms. Manual does not call for gasket but a sealant. The permatex I used did not work need additional info on fixes.

the top of the head also leaks on my 250x. I think its stupid that honda didnt put some kinda gasket of there. I just put either the blue or orange silicon on it and it holds for awhile, but then burns back off.

I've worked on 300ex's many a times and I've always just used blue RTV sealant and never had any leaking problems. make sure all your bolts are tight if one is lose oil will leak out around it. If the blue goo isnt working for you you can get hondabond or yamabond from a local shop it just cost more. I'm sure thats what honda uses from the factory.
