how much you want to spend? Looks and price. Elka is better made (obviously more cost) but perform fairly similar, I've rode both couldnt tell alot of difference other than the sag.

The Elka's are a much better built shock. You can't even compare the two, TCS are a lower budget shock.

Elkas are definitely better shocks, but if I was you I would get a set of PEP's from mark baldwin!!

PEP doesnt make any shocks without rezzy. I think their lowest triple rates are like 500 or so.

I haven't had a chance to try out other shocks but I can't imagine it could get any better than my PEP ZPS. I could be wrong.

It just seems like the hard I push the old dog on the whoops the better it rides.

I have Elka's on my EX, and TCS on my YFZ. They both perform great!....................

I have seen a lot of posts on this site say'n that TCS shocks are not made as well, but nobody ever gives examples or shows pics of how these shocks have failed or broken. Is this really as big of an issue as everybody seems to be making of it? IMO the TCS seem to be made very well, and perform great (as good as my elka's anyways). Then again, I am no pro racer and may not be pushing these shocks to the point where I can tell the difference (if there is any).......IMHO unless you can hang with the likes of Kory Ellis and the other top riders, TCS are a damn nice ride for us mere mortals.

both are excelent shocks. i love my TCS and have had no problems what so ever with them. my friend is also having trouble decideing between TCS and elka so he called a dealership that sells both and asked him to explain the difference between the two and he told my friend that TCS is made by elka and uses mostly elka parts. and eveyrbody i'v talked to that has TCS has not been disapointed.

TCS is not made by Elka. Todd Davis runs TCS and he used to work for Race Tech for 8 years. Really knows his stuff. I run TCS shocks now for sponsorship ties, and they are great shocks. But if you got the money or dont have sponsors telling you what to do then go PEP. If your a duner or average racer, then go TCS triples, you will never know the difference.
