I guess if you're into the looks of the Frontier...

For nearly $20k you can get a full-size Chevy, Ford or Dodge 4x4 with similar mileage.

IMO thats not worth it. Look around a lot. You will get lucky eventually. Look for a truck they are trying to dump, like a leftover.

I got a leftover truck in '02 in the summer of '03. Retail was $25,000, and they knocked 7k off the sticker price. It was a Ford Ranger Supercab 4x4 for $17,999 brand new. It had power mirrors windows and locks, cruise, tilt, 6 disc cd, running boards, towing package class III hitch w/ the transmition cooler, larger engine, 4 door, etc. Loaded .... Most of the used ones like that w/ 30 to 60k miles were going for about $14k to $16k, so for 2k more I got a brand new one ....

Be patient, look around, and it will pay off. Most salesmen are super push so don't be intimidated or buy their bs. They always give you crap about someone else looking at it too ....

We know the salesman and i could be a even trade for my truck that has 124,00 miles and my moms pontiac vibe that has 15,000?

Do that make it worth it

Then you're losing two vehicles in return for one:huh So after you trade your truck in and your mom's Vibe than what's she going to drive? You guys going to share the Frontier?

I personally like the Frontiers. People either love them or hate them though, so it could go either way. For that price, I'd try to find a nice F-150 myself. However, with gas prices the way they are a smaller truck may be a better option. Only thing I don't like about that Frontier is the bed, needs to be a little longer. Ah, and you'd better talk him down a ways from $19K.

So what are you waiting for? I personally love the look of those trucks plus the gas mileage is super good compared to a full size truck. 4 full size doors. 4x4, awesome color, low miles, going from a worn out high mileage truck to a nice low miles truck. Its win win dude..

from what it sounds like it looks like it would be a good deal for you to do. i only like the way some of the frontiers look, and that color makes it look really good. i think it is worth it like they said, 4 full size doors and the 4x4 would do it for me. if it were me i would do it!

I like the look of those trucks, I've seen a long bed version and it looked good. I think that it would look sick lifted a little with nice rims and tires.........IMO

I have an 02' Crew Cab 4x4 that I bought new. It was ordered and the client never came up with the money. I paid right at 20k with the 100k warranty.
It is an SE with the long bed. The long bed is probably what I like best about the truck other thatn the Rockford Fosgate Stereo and everything else on the SE package.
I can put my raptor in and shut the tail gate. My CR 125 will almost fit with the gate closed, but not quite.

As far as space, it is still a small truck. Small people can fit in the back seat, but if your tall, you will fight for the front. It handles well and does decent on gas. When I installed the K&N filter on it, it pepped it up a little and I get 3 more mph or better on my gas. I have had 4 Nissan's and my wife is driving the 2000 Xterra I bought new. No problems with 105k miles, that's why I like them.

I would like to get the new Titan, but the bed is actually shorter than my longbed. Like I say, the longbed is the way to go IMO.

Dude, with all due respect. It really seems like you've got your mind made up on this truck despite the fact that you're asking for advice. Now you're asking how much tires and a lift kit will be. Nobody has any clue what size tires you want, what brand, what brand wheel and in what size. Same goes for the lift kit. You looking at body lift or suspension lift? There's about 20 manufacturers of each kind of lift so giving you prices is impossible. You'll just have to do the research yourself depending on what exactly you're looking for.
