In NS (I know..province, not state) I honestly thing quads dominate...but I could be wrong. I see more quads on back of trucks then I do dirtbikes..

I'm from Western PA as well, and I gotta say its close.... but if I had to bet, I'd say there are more quads now.

I know alot more quad riders than dirtbike riders. I only know a few bike riders. At Jack Frost I'd actually have to say there's more quads then bikes when I go.

I'm from the East coast, Jersey.

I've even noticed that at one of the biggest dealerships around here they have all quads, and barely any dirtbikes. They must have like 30 quads on the showroom floor, and like 10 bikes. Along with sleds, lawnmowers, snowblowers, etc.

Bikes still dominate here....:( But its getting better and better each year......;) We just need more acceptance on tracks and I think we would see it GO BIG:macho .

It's hard to say but I'd guess in total there are more bikes. Whenever I go to public riding areas it seems there are far more quads than bikes. But, at the MX tracks it's completely different. Most local tracks seperate quads on one night and bikes on another. On the quad nights you can expect about 30 quads. On bike nights you can bet at least double that number will show.

your right. Its the same here....around all the trails you see way more quads, but at the track the bikes seem to come out of the wood work....

here in alabama, dirt bikes run the show, we are just there for track cleaning. i hope quad racing gets bigger, but i hope we dont become full of posers and wanabee's like the dirt bikes riders, or have the attitude the dirt bike riders have. i think that comes from the younger riders though.

Hey, I have no problem with there being less quads on the track than bikes...more fun and safe for me.

On the trails here in new york, theres definatley more quads but at the mx track, bikes definaltey rule by a long shot. On average, on race day in D34 we get about 40 quads and over 700 bikes.

pennsylvania...

don't even try to get respect here on a mx track with a quad... bikes get the good motos and the quads get dead middle... they have a watering sesson b4 the quads so the quads ride all the mud out of the track and make it nice again for the bikes...

also most of the jumps here are bike only unless u have a 500 linkage 250r... if not don't even think about it...

plus the treat ya like crap:o

You're right, I completely forgot about events like that and the GNCC. I would like to see quads grow more, but without the idiots, and the 'posers' that dirtbiking has. I don't know how I could have forgotten racing when I ride in the trails every day by myself since no one by my house has a quad. I'm always wishing I had someone to ride with...

either that or you only have 2 classes, pro or am, and they can split up the am class because it would run into the bike races. then the dirt bikes can run several classes that day on the same bike.

same here in NS, back 2 yrs ago when i use to ride bikes the quads were always the odd ball, now it's just the opposite
besides at the tracks, there's always 3 times more bikes

I see more quads out riding, but many of them are utilities. There are always more dirtbikes at the track, so I'm not sure where my vote is supposed to go. Out on the trails, there are more quads, but on the track there are WAY more dirtbikes.

I'm in central NY and everyone around hear rides quads, only a couple that ride bikes. The thing that really dominates hear is snowmobiles. I aint got one, but just about everyone has atleast one, You can get just about anywhare in the state on the snowmobile trails.

Well over here on the wet side of the state, I see more bikes in the backs of trucks than I do quads. our riding clan is made up of 5 quads and 8 bikes. Its changing though. Talking to the dealers quads are outselling bikes two to one here. Our time is coming:D

Sportrax10

Around here, most trail riding is 85% quads... Coal hills about 50%... and MX tracks like 25% quads... Something like that...

Just where I ride its mostly quads...

trx400ex

For every dirtbike we (yamaha dealer) sell, we sell 15 quads. 10 of them would be utilities and the other 5 sport. At the mx track we might have 25 quads and 100-200 bikes.

Indiana...at the track probably dirtbikes....but at any riding area, QUADS BY FAR!!

Guy and Mofo I got to agree. I think in my neck of PA that quads dominate big time...but at the tracks, well....it's getting better.

Also, I don't know about dominate, but on paatving.com I think they said like 1 in 5 PA people own a quad....for what that's worth. I know many farmers around me aren't bringing in the cows with a 450R though, lol!;) :D

There are usually 3x or 4x more dirtbikes than quads here...For some reason all the quads around here wont come to the big tracks, they stay on the little supercross and indoor tracks and dominate those and then they think they are all bad. I think to ever go anywhere in racing you are gonna have to race everywhere...I race big outdoor tracks during the summer and I still go to a couple small tracks everynow and then during the summer to but in the winter i go race the indoors...some of the quads around here race the indoors in the winter and in the summer they only show up to the 5 or 6 supercross races we have all summer long...

I will say 50/50 for the bike to quads on the trails around here. But for motocross its not even close BIKES! all the way. Most tracks around here don't even let a quad on the track.

Bikes are still more popular here!

Quads are growing since last season though...there are usually aorund 50 at the races now...

this year there have been more quads at our local harescrambles than bikes. 5 years ago the bikes outnumbered the quads 7 or 8 to 1.

our local circuit now has up to 100+ quads per race (quad only races) but here in texas, we have HUGE dirt bike races with over 400 bikes at some of the races, the quad industry has grown and our numbers have almost doubled here...we're catchin up to the bikes but im sure it will take quite a while for that to happen

little kids like dirtbikes for some reason so whenever i see a 10 year old or less, theyre yz85 this yz85 that. then when they turn 13 they want a big 4x4. then when theyre 15 they want a sport quad, then the college dudes from 21-25 have bikes, then it switches over to quads thats just what iv seen.

way more 4x4's than bikes. iv seen like one sport quad before. the guys with bikes think 4x4s suck and the guys with 4x4s say bikes cant go through anything. but i think the dirtbikers are right lol.

way more 4x4s in the trails but dirtbikes for sure at the tracks

Bikes on the track, atv's in the trail systems. Atv's are getting more popular every year though.

It all depends on the conditions of where your riding, this year I have spent way more time on a bike, would like to do the 6 day's of michigan.

Like everyone's stated, if i go to a public riding area quads outnumber everything by a large amount. Now at the track on an average weekend we might have 25 quads compared to over 450 bikes every weekend day, yes bikes are big here. And of coarse were the side show :cuss:

XANDADA

30 bikes for every 1 quad at the tracks and maybe 1 bike for every 15 quads I see on the trails the few public places I've been.
