Has anyone installed the WB Alloy Nerf Bars on their 400EX? A friend has them on his DS650 and they look GREAT. I saw a set on a 400EX at the dealer today and they looked great as well. I'm just wondering how easily they go on (any drilling involved?) and if they can be installed with the mud-guard still in place. Any advice would be appreciated.

I just ordered a set and they have the heelguards like the AC Propegs. As soon as I get them and put them on I will post more info and some pics in this thread.

You can see some photos (although not real clear) on White Brother's website in their catalog. They have WB Alloy Nerfs and WB Pro-Series Alloy Nerfs. To view their catalog, you have to have Adobe Reader...but you can download that free and I think there is even a link right there on WB's site.

I'll be waiting for your post, especially the details on the installation. I've seen these on a couple of bikes and like the look...but I want to know how much drilling...if any...is required and how well they go on.

The nerfs were shipped today so I should have them no later than Friday. If they are here on time I will have them put on Friday night and will post here then. I will also snap some more detailed pics, is there anything in particular that anyone wants to see better views of (ie mounting points, pegs, etc...)?

My main interests are whether or not you have to drill the pegs (or do the Pro-series come with pegs?). I would also like to know/see where and how the pieces that go through the frame actually connect to the frame. Do they use existing holes or do you have to drill.

Yes the Pro Series have built in pegs. I just got mine on and they are NICE! No drilling and a pretty simple install. I got mine ATV Addiction, talk to Louis there real nice guy and very helpful. I'll get some pics tommorrow.

BTW the WB Propegs were $169.99 to my door in 2 days.

I doubt that you have to drill anything. Installation should be pretty simple. I thought it was gonna be hard to install my DGs but once you look at it, it all fits together and is quite simple. Never heard yet of having to drill anything to put nerfs on, but you had better get that from the peeps who actually have them.
