This was my first MX type race, I got second place in the beginner class but there were only two of us:p and is was a very distant second:rolleyes: It was fun though.

They raced Sat. and Sun. but I was only there Sunday. It is mostly a bike series but there were 15 quads on Saturday and only 10 on Sunday.

I have a few pics of the ATV Open Class....

These two put on a good show, tire to tire the whole race, got tangled up about twenty feet from the finish line. Then they ran across the finish line....

great pictures. the blue #19 (200cc blaster) is my kid and #35 (tricked out yfz) is his riding buddy. Reed loves it when he can wip up on drew, but the eddieville track is more of a horsepower track, and the little blaster couldn't get the win in the second moto. the #23, that you raced against, was his second race and the first on the yfz. I'm glad you made it to eddieville.

Your kid is fast on that Blaster! It's only 200cc? Did he ride the Blue YFZ in the second moto?

yes. the yfz is his bike to move up on when he is ready. he is only 12 and really can't "muscle" the yfz around yet. He practiced on it sunday morning, but rode the blaster in the first jr. moto to get ready to race #35 in the open class. I raced the yfz on sat. and, yes, the blaster is only 200cc. I want to keep it legal for the atva 13-15 yr class when he can run it.

LOL thats a good one, "racing in circles" hehe we just like the rush of going down a straight away WFO & then sliding it sideways I guess ;);):blah: :macho

I just like to give flat track people a bad time. I used to race 3-wheelers in the 80's and I've been around sprint cars most of my life. so mx is a good change for me. I'm glad my kid likes mx so much, but if he liked flat track, we would be there.
we did race the tacoma dome tt race. Reed liked wipping up on the "tricked-out" shifter quads with his lt80. and I think it was his mx experience in the tight sections that did it. he didn't have the hp to stay with them down the long straight.
I agree it is a "rush" to go wfo down a straight away then throw it sideways.
We love the rush of wfo down a straightaway, throwing it sideways around a corner, then launching off a 40' double when you exit the corner.
flat track deffinately teaches you much needed skills to be able to ride MX fast.
