DG Front Bumper 400EX Doesn't Line Up

I just got a DG front bumper for my 2004 400EX. I got it from someone else. It's in awesome shape but the 4 bolts don't line up - is the 2004 different from the previous years? I can bolt on the top 2 or the bottom 2, but not all 4. I guess I can always bore the holes a little, but it just seems weird???

All years are the same. Alot of aftermarket bumpers have this prob.

Usually you can get them to work by just loosely putting in the bolts that line up & then wiggle & twist it till you can get them all in.

Get a scissor jack from a car and use it to force the bumper to line up with the holes. I used it to line my Tag bumper up that was slightly off. Give it a try.

i returned my bumper three times before i realized that DG was junk. on my forth bumper, i drilled the holes oblong so i could get all four bolts in it. this then allowed me to adjust the bumper so that it was straight and center.

DG is junk, as far as alignment. I could create a better alignment system for skid plates in 35 min. Put the 2 bolts in on one side and get a punch to align one hole on the other side, put the bolt in and take the punch out. The hole should align.

Mine lined up perfect my 1st time...i had an ac racing bumper that had that same problem...i took it to the dealer and he had special ordered it and he said thats why he doesnt carry ac...

See i have the same problem with AC they NEVER line up and half the time they are made like sh*t welds look like a retarded monkey did them. and it isn't just the EX bumper that was like that I have had Shee,s- R,sand X,s

Mine lined up great on my '04 400ex. Only took a couple of minutes to bolt on.

Anybody that says DG bumpers sucks need here what i've hit -with mine, I have hit a concrete crub and i will get pics of the chunk of concrete it took out, cliped numeruos trees fliped it end over end before and it is just bearley tweaked, Still fits fine too. Also mine bolted right up with no problem at all.

Glad it worked for you. Thats the only way to line a bumper up if you ask me. Why fight it?

once the bumper is on it will take a pretty good beating. i have flipped mine end over end a couple of times and did not tweak the bumper. i bought the bumper so if something happened, like hitting a tree, the bumper would bend and save my frame. luckily that hasn't happened yet. but when you spend $80 or so, people like the product to bolt up with no problems. this is why they suck, i spent around $80 and sent it back 3 times before i realized that they would never get it right.

i will never own another AC product..i have their nerfs, bumper, and soon to be grabbar on my 300ex..fit sucks!! on my next quad (yfz450 :D ) i'm getting all dg stuff ;)
