250r frame

hey i know for a fact that il be pounding the crap out of my stock 250r frame this summer (its an 86 frame but there are no cracks and its solid) i will be goin aftermarket later in the summer but untill i have to il abuse my stocker. is there any key points on the frame i should pay attention to for cracks and such

I have an 86 frame similar to how yours is. good frame, never been welded on or cracked. i motocross mine also. my brother had an 87 and it cracked around the steering stem up by the clamp, i have seen them crack on the square tubing just above the front shocks, and i have seen the subframe crack where the seat latch is. They also can crack at the lower subframe mount and aroudn the footpegs. if you had good shocks and don't come up short on a lot of jumps and have good timing the frame will last you a while. i have raced on mine for 4 months now pretty hard and i race the pro class at local tracks and will probably run either B or A class at a couple nationals this year.
