or you can buy the keihin individual jets and only get what you need. this is what i prefer.

The larger jets in the kit are refrerred to as stage 2. For the 400ex kit there is no need to specify as all the jets (stage 1&2) are included in the jet kit.

Unless you just want the dynojet needle, I believe you can buy five packs (each a different size) of Keihin jets cheaper than the kits.

Well said. The whole "Stage One" and "Stage Two" thing is very misleading. You should jet your bike according to it's fuel requirements, which is determined by what mods you have, altitude, temperature, humidity, etc. Simply throwing in "Stage Two" jetting because it must be faster than stock or "Stage One" jetting usually ends up taking power away. If all you have is a K&N filter and a White Bros slip-on, buy the next three sizes up on the main (Kehin 150, 152, 155) and a 40 pilot jet, and then experiment to see how different jet sizes and needle positions affect the power curve. You'll save quite a bit of money and learn more than just throwing in the wrong jets because that's what the instructions said.

I am prety sure Dyno Jet kit also includes instructions on what jet you need to use.

i would run a 150-152 keihin main in the warmer months and a 152-155 keihin in the cold months. these are keihin jets, not dynojets.

Hey Cal, what would those jets compare to in the Dynojet kit?

Yeah they do, but they are way rich on their recomendations, I think it's because they don't want to be responsible for anybody who burns up their engine running too lean.

Anyway you can't just throw out a # and be right all the time. Jetting is bike/environment specific. You can get close, or a guideline, but you will never really know until you try the different sizes for yourself.

imo, dynojet dosent include the right selection of jets for a mildly modded bike anyway. If I had it to do over, I would do what f-16 said, get the three next larger keihin's & go from there.
