I have stock tires on stock rims on my 400ex, and my rims are just getting hacked by rocks and stuff, what are some tires that have a wide sidewall, and protect the rims a bit more ?

Well kind of depends on what size tire you were wanting also. The 20" or 22". I know the 22" razrs and holeshots gave a very wide sidewall and the 20's of both those tires have a pretty wide sidewall as well.

The holeshot XCR'03 sidewall is not that big since the treads are more concentrated in the middle. I would say the BEST tire for you to get is a set of 20x11x9 Maxxis Razr 2's not original Razr's. Those things are not only beefy and 6 ply, but have HUGE lugs that come out and down the side of thie tire both to protect it and to dig you out of ruts!! Hands down the most durable tire I have ever used for woods and trails. They work good on all terrains too and like I said, the treads look like you could ride on frickin mars with them.
