I put a 16 tooth on the front and the stock case saver does't fit, do they make one that does?
thanks,

they do make one but i don't remember the brand. however, most just take a grinder to their stock one and grind it down a bit.

The pro design case saver is billet aluminum and will fit a 16 tooth front on the 400. Do me a favor and let me know how you like the sproket cuz i was gonna do the same.

i have a 16 renthal that i am selling. it is in good shape. the reason i am selling it is because i just run a smaller rear sprocket now instead of a bigger front. this taller gearing is nice for upper rpm power. you don't notice much of a loss down low unless your coming out of corners in too low of a gear. if you want a bunch of low end power or do a lot of tight woods riding, i wouldn't get it.

Where can I get one of these pro design case savers?
Thanks,

How much top end do you think it gave you nad how much acceleration did you loose?

You can get the case savers anywhere. Rocky mountain atv.

I found two different savers at moto-man. One is the Bullet case saver and the other is the pro design. Has anybody here used these before on a 16 tooth front.

on a stock bike i really didn't notice much top speed. i don't think the bike had enough power to pull it much more. in a drag race i definately didn't lose any power anywhere. coming out of a corner or in tight woods is where you would notice a little difference. it is fine unless your in too high of a gear though. once i put my cam and piston in my bike, i actually prefer to raise my gearing.

The only drawback I have encountered with the 16t front is when conditions are very muddy, or on tight slow woods trails-------or any other reason to be lugging in 1st a lot.

It only takes about 15 min to grind the stock case saver to fit.

16 tooth=good the only times i don't run mine are with my 22"mud tires and slow and or tight trails, on high speed trails it is practically a must.

I'm trying the 16 up front because I'm running 18" tires in the rear for mx and need a little more top end in 3rd gear to clear some doubles. 4th gear seemed to lug to much. I haven't got to ride the 16 tooth yet but hope it gives me a good gear set-up.
