the nice thing about my quad and i'm not sure what other's is that the seat comes off seperate from the plastics or anything else on the ***** end. Lately I've been just riding without the seat and i've gotten used to it. the only time i use the seat is when just cruising. mx or xc, anytime i'm riding hard, tryin to make time I'm never on the seat. i dunno how much the seat weighs... 10 lbs? more? if you wanna take off a few more pounds then it's pretty good.

Next you should try removing the handlebars, or maybe the gastank ? they are pretty heavy...

Why not just take the plastic off too. I mean you should be able to get used to the dirt.

Then take the front tires off and you will really save some weight. I mean that Pred is so powerfull you should just be able to ride wheelies all the time. That would be cool!:eek2: :eek2:

hell. just mount the motor to a skate board wiht off road wheels and hold the throttle assy and a coke bottle doubling for a gas can and hit the track. cant get any lighter than that. hmm. make sure you inflate the off road tires with helium.

No offense man, but if weight was an issue you shouldnt have bought one of the biggest HOGS around! The predator is known for being HEAVY! The few pounds you shed by removing the seat arent gonna save your *** when you land hard and have to pull an air filter out of your ***. That is the MOST ridiculous thing I have ever heard!!! Your bike must look STUPID AS HELL!!!

I did the helium trick now my quads a good 50 pounds lighter at the scales. But when I hit a big jump it kinda floats up some.

DUDE!!! i did the same thing...then i took off all my front stuff...a arms tires wheels...the works...i jus have someone hold up the front when i start...dump the clutch and ride it on the grabbar...i steer with this huge arse oar...like a paddle boat...i jus drag it and it turns...i put this big rubber dragger on the back so it doesnt hurt it...dropped about 100 pounds...i also run no plastic at all and no air filter...i also run a plastic swingarm along with a 50cc dirtbike engine...this way my bike is like a whole 50 pounds...and i kept all the parts...that way when i realize that i messed it up a f load i still got all the parts to put it back on and not get made fun of :rolleyes:

you should take you subfame off you don't need that it's just dead weight and take the footpegs off you can stand on the frame and who needs a stering stem the don't do any thing and while your at it drain the oil that should save a little weight

I took off my shocks gas tank palstics, seat. nerfs, brake levers, and foot pegs

I only put a 1/8 quart of oil in. I hold a dixie cup of gas with a hose going to the carb. I can honestly say i hit 122MPH now.

you know what i like to do to save weight? i dont wear a helmet and then i go find a BIG jump and when im in the air i jump off and hope my quad flips and rolls, knocking off all of the spare parts on it. then i get back on and ride with my new and improved, slimmer quad, you should try it bub:)

hmm...if i was you id ditch the chain and put a shaft drive in there, then make it 4WD so you have twice the tork, put some heavy-duty grab bars on the front and back, and get like some big *** car shocks, like the ones on an f350, that way youd have the ultimate ride. remember to pop the clutch and lean backward!
