Well tonight I went and picked up my HMF slip-on and boy was it fun putting on....I had to hold up and piece of bord and hit the end of it with a hammer to get it to go on the header....once that was done, I had to drill a differnt hole on the top mount for it to line up with the frame. Now that I have it on its nice, but has anyone else had these problems before??

Mine fit really tight on the head pipe, which is a good thing, but the mounting bracket lined up perfect.

You may have just got a bad one. I know hans is very understanding and would probably replace it for you if you contacted HMF. I personally dont run one but know alot of buddies who do and he takes care of them real good with any problems. I would call HMF and talk to hans since they usually put out a high quality product...

Mine was a ***** to put on. I had to clean and sand the header to help the slip on go on. Then I had to beat it to go in a little further so the Mounting bolts lined up. Besides that, I love the HMF slip on.

Well I haven't had a chance to go out and ride it yet(waiting for my bearing carrier to come in) but it sounds great!! Louder than the wb with all the disks out and the end cap removed. And its a nice low rumble sound. Its looks much better also IMO.

sickmojave - what gasket are you talking about??? I just took the wb off, and jammed the HMF on. so no, I did not put any gasket on. Hopefully this pipe will stay in one piece this time:p

i put my HMf pipe on and had no problems what so ever. i love it too! my quad feels like a different quad after i put it on and rejetted it. i race my buddy that has the same set up but has a WB e-series pipe and i beat in a race.theres a little bit of difference between the two.

Well I got to finaly ride today, and wow this HMF is nice!! Other than it being a ****** to put on, I love it. The power gains I think are much more than the wb e-series, and it has a much lower rumble to it. Now hopfully it stay in one piece....unlike the e-series;)
