Just go to a Honda dealer and ask for a oil filter for a 450R, be ready for a shock....they're almost $12! I'm getting mine for $10 right now, my cost. I'm running the Honda GN4 oil in my 450 right now:
10w-40 in the motor side
20w-50 in the clutch side

If you ride hard, be prepared to change your oil quite often since you only have 1/2 a quart in one side and 3/4 quart in the other side.

The honda # is 15412-men-671. Your dealer may have old stock and the # was 15412-meb-671. Hope this helps.

As far as Honda oils, run hp4 10/40 without moly and hp trans oil. Be careful what oils you choose or you will run into problems in the future.

K&N sells filters for the 450R. The part # is KN-113. The filter is the same as the crf filter.

KN-113's can be found on the internet for $5.95 each.

Hope this helps.

Those Hiflo filters are the cheapest filters you can buy. Why put junk in your hi bucks machine? Also, I haven't been able to find the HONDA filters on e-bay for 5 for $20 bucks. Are you sure your not buying the junky filters. Honda filters use superior quality materials. Also, if you play around with your oils, plan on having problems.
