I know this topic has been discussed before but I have not read where anyone has discussed any final results on it. I know the 450R shocks will fit the 400EX with some minor alterations at the upper mount, but I would like to know if the shocks will perform flawlessly.

I have triple rate Works shocks on my wife's 400ex now, but they need rebuilt, also they suck. I have +2" A-ARMS on the 400EX and would like to mount the 450R shocks to it. In my opinion, the 450R shocks are better than the Works that I currently have. Any suggestions, or anyone experience this same situation?

Thanks,
Tim

Even when you make the shocks fit on another quad, they still don't work right. The stroke is all wrong for a 400ex, you can do balljoint damage by doing this.
Your better off haveing the Works rebuilt since they were meant for a 400ex.

DeRisi Racing has a millinium revalve kit for works shocks that involves a whole new piston and different type of valveing. This helps the feel of the works shocks tremendisly!!!!!!!!!!

The Derisi kits rock!!!! They are worth the wait especially if you have works and don't have the money for Elkas or such. We had Santo do some for our 440ex and had him do the 0 preload on the rear and WOW!!!

i had dersi do my 400ex works shocks with prom millenium kits which were on my old 400ex & it made them perform almost as well as elkas...maybe better
