I hope i'm asking in the right forum here i'm sorta new. I was just wondering if anyone new if HONDA made there own line of handguards that i could get off of my local dealer? I bought a set of ufo's out of dennis kirk but they didnt' seem like they was fitting right. I like the full handguards that fit in the end of ur bars not the half one's. Can anyone give me a clue where to look or go? and i have a damn hard time finding yellow honda makes a yellow ex ya know and no one ever has yellow lol thanks

I got some handguards on the way. Just the brush guards. Not the kind that attaches to the end of the bars. I've got a fear of my hand/arm getting locked in them in a wreck.

I have the Acerbis rally pro's, but mounted on Pro Taper bars. They seem to work fine.

I think so, you might want them in black though, black matches yellow.

Im not so sure if the yellow will match the yellow:huh

the metal bar ones....it's just a flat piece of aluminum? <-- goes in the end of the bar and bolts on somewhere around the leaver's

anyone got those?...i don't really like the full plastic one's...just don't like the way they look...and i don't have a problem with branches. but there's a few trails around here with vines, vines every where (you ever try to cut a vine with a machetie?) well sometimes a vine will end up in that right spot and it'll pull in my clutch or brake leaver...sux when it closes on your hand...hit the gas lean back, let a vine go over your head and get back on the gas before it stals,, kinda tight...anyway...
anyone have the bar type guards. how do they hold up...you like em?...

I have the Wood's Pro-Aluminum hand guards. They work pretty good at deflecting stuff. They are a little tough to get on the stock bars. Keep all bolts loose and tighten each one a little at a time. I don't have the plastic covers so you still get mud and water on your grips. I have often thought about what would happen if you were to reck but that would be the least of worries I think if I were to reck. I would recommend them though.

....with my last wreck i flew off the bike like superman..so i think it might have an automatic eject on it somewhere...not sure...
not really worried out the mud.don't ride in mud and if i do it's just at an idle speed to cross alittle patch...mainly get em to deflect branches and vines

with the acerbis rally pro, do you have to order the mounting kit or is that just replacemant. i saw the guards in chapparal for $74 and the mounting kit for $24.

rocky mt. is the cheapest by far i think they are 65$ and that includes a mounting kit... the mount kit comes with the handguards...

The "extra" mounting kit is for pro-taper bars. The kit comes with regular bar mounts.

Yeah Buck I almost purchased the EMGO's, But I wanted the additional extension and didn't know if the Acerbis extensions would fit the Emgo.

looks like the leaver's stick out and down past the bars. whats up with that....i thought they would be even and have plenty of clearance...explain

They dont stick out that far...thier actually pretty even with the bar ends. Its kind of an illusion.....but I have them adjusted so the levers are easier to get at.......youd really have to see it in person.

JB's 400ex

That's what mine look like also. The angle of the levers doesn't really match the angle of the guards but it does protect. It doesn't really look bad when you see it in person. Blah300 I would recommend these for you from what I hear your wanting them for. The reason you don't see it on the other guards is because they are hidden by the plastic covers.
