Yes there is 7 Friction Plates and 6 Metal Plates Stock. You should Check out the Sparks Heavy Duty Clutch Kit. It has 8 Friction Plates and 7 Metal Plates. It comes with Heavy Duty Springs too. I would get a Hinson Basket too. You could also check out the Hinson 8 Plate Setup. That would be the Best.

yeah go with an 8 plate setup....I've rode a built 416 with the 8 plate hinson setup and I liked the feel of it over the setup I have now..

Rico, What Setup are you Running Now? What all does that Hinson 8 Plate Setup come with? What does it Cost?

I would definately get a new clutch basket too if I was you. I had a friend with a 416 and his stock clutch basket blew up in his motor doing over $500 worth of damage. TC is putting his clutch kit in mine with a Hinson basket. Vortex makes an awesome basket too. Terry says they are just as good as Hinson if not better and Terry will put it in your door for $160. thats a good deal!!!

Chad, What all Comes in this TC Clutch Kit? Terry knows his Stuff, but I would get Hinson over anything everyday of the Week.

the 8-plate hinson set-up consists of a clutch basket, inner hub and a pressure plate. they strongly recommend using i think cr500 springs. The cost of the hinson stuff is around 430 dollars i think. you then have to buy the plates. they recommend stock plates. this is the set-up im going with as soon as i save up a little more money.

That Hinson Setup is the Way to Go. I thought you had to Buy the Clutch Basket seperate. That`s not Bad if it comes with the Basket? How Much is the Quick Remove Cover?

All I know is TC is taking care of the whole clutch situation for me and he told me to get a Hinson basket and thats what I sent him. He said he feels his clutch setup is one of the best!! Im not sure what all he is doing to it but he said i wont have to worry about it even with the 505! i like those Hinson Quick Remove covers too. How much are they. i might get me one!

Well TC sounds very Happy with his Clutch Setup. I would like to find out what it all Includes. I might have to Call TC some time and ask about all this Stuff. The Hinson Quick Remove Clutch Cover is $410 from Nac`s Racing.

$410:( Maybe I wont get one. Thats too much. I bet Terry can get them cheaper though. I dont think their worth that much. They do look cool though

Yeah the Quick Remove Cover is a bit Expensive. Terry could get you one Cheaper since you have spent all that Money through him.

My 8-plate set-up pulls pretty hard, but my engine builder told me he gets some custom clutch springs made so it wont slip...he also suggests to all his customers that they start working their grip to be able to pull it all day...lol
