help with my moms jeep!!!

evertime we take the doors off.. we cant turn the inside lights off...we tried taping the things down..( so when they are down ti kills the lights) didnt work... does anyone know whagt to do??? we dont wanna let the battery die

there is a fuse you have to take out. cant remember which one though, ive had mine out for 4 years. go to www.jeepsunlimted.com , just search there, they will know.

I said heck with 'em on my Samurai. I just removed the switches, and got a couple plastic plugs at the hardware store to fill the holes. Now if you wanna use the dumb light, you have to switch it manually.

Easiest thing is to just take the bulb out.

If it's the same as mine (1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande), find the button that turns off the lights when you shut the door. Right behind it, simply pull the plug out. You can still turn the dome light on yourself, but it will never turn on with the door off. When you put the door back on, just plug it back in. On mine it's a little plastic plug that sticks out about 1 inch.

On my 98 Wrangler, I think it was..........#4 fuse? Maybe? Look in the book, it should be the one for dome lights

Pull the #4 fuse, and all will be swell.:D Seriously, just did it a few days ago, and the #4 fuse turns the dome and convience lights off.

im not trying to be a smartass but why would you want to cut the wires, plug the holes, or unhook the wires when all you got to do is pull a fuse in about 3 secs? lol

:( *sniff sniff* *waaaaaaaah* :( :( :( now I miss my Jeep! I remember last year when I was having a similar problem - I went online and found out it was the #4 fuse and pulled it - sure enough.
