Ok, I was turned onto a set up that im really considering. Instead of building the trx90 engine, I was tipped off to using a manual clutch engine along the lines of what some of the top 50cc XR riders are using. I need to know some sites for buying this engine and if anyone has ever done this to a trx 90, I was told its a pretty straight forward swap.

pappy you would probably be better off buying an 88cc extreme 50 taking the engine out of it and parting the rest of the bike out i think the bike goes for around 2000. i dont know the website but a simple search on google would probably bring you to a website

this guy will make that thing fly 1800 414 2973. you can go as wild as you want. you got nothing to lose give him a call. he also has suspension parts. i just completed my sons trx, we kept it under 90cc to be ama legal. it absolutely flies. if anyone is in mid il. to northern il. and wants to see what he can do post and i will post where we will be racing that weekend. we race just about every weekend from mar. to oct. mostly in il. but also mich.,wis.,missouri,iowa,tx.,ga.,andky.

thanks

Pappy, Couldn't you just use an XR80 engine instead of the 50? It has a clutch and it wouldn't need as much overbore to bring it up to 90cc.
