i need some suggestions

i gotta question...im a beginner and my friend his selling his quad its a 01 yamaha blaster and i was wondering if that would be a good quad to start out on..now i know how to shift and all b/c i ride a lil bit on my friends 300ex and his cousin dirtbike but tell me what you think! thanks

How tall are you? What's your weight?

It's a pretty good beginner quad, not that much power so you won't kill yourself, and the handling seems to be okay...it's not a high-performance quad but I suppose it's probably better than a 229EX or 300EX...in some categories.

They are also pretty cheap to upgrade and cheap to take care of, unless you plan on doing the oil injection block-off for the comfort in knowing that there is always oil going through...as long as you pre-mix it.

well dumpweed you're 16, and frankly when I was 16 a blaster was just too small.

i got a 400EX at that age.

Yea you're pretty small, so a Blaster would suit you just fine, or a 300EX.

shure, thats what i learned on, i out grew it really fast though, actually i waas to big for it when i got it, now im 15 going on 16 in june and i ride a modded Z and im always wanting more power

Yea, a Blaster sounds good for him though, he seems very small. A modded out Z would probably kick his ***. I'm 5'10" 150 lbs and a 400ex has way too little power for me, I like my Banshee powerband a lot more;) .

yea i just rode a blaster the other day, was pretty fun. for a small guy blasters are a lot of fun, they rip pretty cool,good in tight trails cause theyre real small. but get a pipe on it so it dont sound like a weedwacker thou.:blah: ed
