My daughter was born this morning!

Hey folks, I just stopped by the house here to let my dog out and to grab a few things and then I'm back to the hospital. Kayla Marie was born at 10:43 AM, 6lbs.15oz./19-1/2" long. She's perfectly healthy and we should bring her home sometime Thursday afternoon. I'll have pics later!

Thanks for all the kind words! I slept at the hospital with my wife and baby last night and since she's going the natural route in terms of feeding there's no reason for me to get up:devil: I'm glad I got to sleep some because I had been awake for 21 hours. Although she was born in the late morning my wife woke my up at 1:00 AM to tell me it was time to get to the hospital. Mom and baby are fine and they should get released tomorrow late morning sometime.

Harlen, tell us how it goes after your ultrasound...and get a restraining order against Kenny's sons if you do have a girl:eek:

CONGRATULATIONS ON A BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!!! You will cherish every moment of bring her up believe me. I was extremely lucky in that my daughter slept very well. She only woke once in the night the first two night she was home and on the third night she slept all night long and has been doing so ever since. She will be 4 in June. Sorry to be so long winded, I just wanted to let you know that everyone doesn't have all those sleepless nights and hopefully you will not. I'm sure you feel like the most proud person in the world right now and rightfully so. Daughters are awesome! Congratulations again!

Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Guy400 (not real name) We stopped at 2 girls 15 1/2 years ago, for my wife's medical reasons. My oldest is 18, and despite all the talk about difficult teenage years, I'm gonna cry the day they leave home. They have been the greatest gift we've ever been given. I'm envious just looking at the pic. BTW, they ride quads like a good thang, as I'm sure yours will!;)

I definately agree with this. Spend as much time as you can. They grow in leaps and bounds those first couple years. And when you are apart and return it's amazing to see how much just a few days can change how they do things or even look. Take lots of pictures. I swear that my sons first word was "cheese" from constantly getting his picture taken.

Most of all have fun. It's a great part of life.
