Im puting on a set of rear hipers right now and wondering how hard to torque down the screws for the locking ring. Anyone know the torque specs?

The torque isn't much but if you don't tighten them down enough they will leak. When properly tightened they hold air for months.

The instructions say 10 - 12 ft/lbs..... i say just get a 1/4" socket and ratchet and tighten them down till you start to hurt your wrist.......... thats what i did and i was inbetween 10-12 when i went back and checked them later (3 months) with a torque wrench.......

They have never leaked on me ........and they are close to the best wheels out there......;)

I pretty much just tightened them until there wasnt a gap between the ring and the wheel. If they start to leek alittle bit ill tighten them some more because i know i didnt even tighten them to 10 ft/lbs.

Thanks.
