will 400ex extended a-arms fit on a 300ex, same question with a 400ex extended axle, if these did hook up would they give more width. I was going to get some a-arms and an axle for my 300 but should i just get 400ex ones...

Try a search on the subject. There are hundreds of threads on this. The axle will not fit. The 400ex arms can be made to fit very easily but they do not work well at all. You're better off saving your money for a better quad or buying the correct a arms and axle for the 300.

The 400ex a arms are designed to be positioned a little differently on the frame. The mounts are in a slightly different position. I believe they are farther apart on the 400. You will have a problem with the camber. I had the conversion for a while and it always felt nervous(twitchy) at high speed. I actually used 87 250r a arms which have adjustable camber and it still did not correct the problem. Jeff at The Quadshop has posted many times why this setup isn't a good idea. Hope this helps.

That's what I ended up doing. I put 300ex Burgard +2's with Elka's on mine and it is awesome. I also used a shockmount bracket which allows you to run custom length shocks for increased travel. I did have to fill out a somewhat complicated build sheet for the shocks but it was well worth the time and effort. The improvement over stock is unbelievable. Even without doing the shockmount bracket you will notice a huge improvement. Glad I could help.

Your Works will be fine but you will need to have the revalved for the new arms. Otherwise they will be way too soft.
