I need some help with jetting. I live at approximately 5200 ft. I'm currently running a Sparks Racing X-6 Exhaust in Stainless Steel, Sparks Air Supercharger filter kit, Sparks CAM, EHS airbox cover, and will soon be installing a JE 12:1 piston (if there ever ready). Where do you think I should start. I was thinking of going with a 180-185 main? Any other suggestions??? Thanks!!!

quallerd,

I live in Utah and most of my riding is at about 5,000 to 5,200 feet. I am currently running a 180 main jet and it seems to be just about right. I have the HRC kit, UNI Filter, HRC Airbox lid, HRC end cap with stock exhaust. I initially had the 185 main but my pipe was really sooty black at the end. Now with the 180 it has cleaned up again and I don't have the black soot. Where you are running the full pipe I would start with at least 185 with the stock piston and check your plug and color at the end of the pipe. I am not sure what you will need when you jump to the 12:1 piston. Hope this helps - Scott
