Any one flat track? Need some advice

Hi I have a trx450r with the HRC kit, I was wondering is there a stock class so I could just change the tires over and give it a try, the track I would be running is a 1/5 mile, could I be competitive amongst modded machines anyway? I want to be able to leave the suspension stock, but If I were to put zero preload on all the springs and stiffen the front compression up, would that be acceptable,, I just want to go race for fun, but is it worth it with a stock machine?

Yep, many run stock quads just for fun. Like you said, back the pre-load off the shocks. Low and wide is the key. You'll have fun, but may not be that competitive against quads set up for flat track. Don't forget a killswitch. Let us know how you do.;)

I agree with LT.....We have rode with stock Everything in the beginning ,go out and have fun.Thatswhat its all about..And if you like it...then little by little add some mods to be more competitve......;) Be safe........
