Mercury Sable

My mom wants to buy a 2002 Mercury Sable GS from someone we know... Its $7,500 and it looks almost brand new... Im against it because I dont know anything about Mercury... Does anyone know if they are a good car, anyone have own one or have a relative own one? If someone could link me the kelly blue book rating for it from there site that would be great.. Their site confuses me...

I have a 2000 Mercury Sable LS and i LOVE IT!! Its the best thing in the world. You put good snow tires on it and you are set! Does hers have power everything? ABS? Any of that good stuff? I love my sable and I am so happy I got it!!

mercury sables are the same as a ford taurus i believe.

i had a 95 ( old style ) and my sis has a 99 and my mom has a 2000 and they are all awesome cars, no problems at all. no snow tires needed, and i live in michigan!

Ya can't go wrong with that car (depending on condition). I know a lot of folks with 'em (including my folks), and they work well. Without knowing what options it has, and typing in 50,000 miles, it's worth about $8500 according to Kelley.
