wow y are you asking if sport quad parts fit on a woker type quad? the shocks wont be able to handle the weight even if they do fit. wta bolt pattern is the recon for the front?

300ex shocks are too long and would raise the ride height of the recon. It wouldn't work well at all. Also the 300ex shocks are not good anyhow. It really wouldn't be an upgrade at all. Your best bet is to save up for a better set of shocks or wait for a better quad. Not sure whether the hubs fit though.

I guarantee it won't be better but it's your time. Stock 300ex shocks are almost exactly the same as your Recon shocks. The 300ex shocks will make your front end geometry be way off. Your more likely to get hurt trying them out than anything. Do yourself a favor and save your cash for some proper shocks or a better quad. Good luck.

I've never tried it and actually haven't even thought about it until right now, but just trying to sit here and visualize it, I don't think the EX hubs could fit the front of a Recon. The reason being that the EX hubs are designed to work with a disk brake and the Recon has drums, they're a drastically different set-up on the front-end.

the socks are pretty tough accualy. I busted the back sock on my 300 4X4 and didn't want to spend any money on it so I took a front shock from a 300ex and put that on the back and it works great. I lowered the back like 1inch. I still jump it and it works good and doesn't bottom more then the stock one did.

The ride is good. I we ride two on the quad it will bottom but thats no biggie.

well i think the 250ex has same spindle as the recon since everything else is the same, so id guess the 250 has the same brakes as the 400 so the hub should work?
