i was wondering if anyone knows which wire the electric fan is conected too. i was at the track saturday and i had my bike idling and it started to over heat. anti-freeze came out. my fan never came on. i took all the lights off, key switch, and light switch box. i did not know if any of those things could cause the fan not to come on.

if anyone else has had this problem and could help me out, please help me.

when you remove the key connect the red wire and the black wire together, then take the green wire and connect it to one end of the killswitch and the black and white wire to the other wire like so.

I cut the wires from between the key and the plug and got those wires. GL to you.

You have to cut the wires in between the keyswitch and the big thing of wires. That is why it is not working most likely because mine does.

We kept the switch and wire tied it under the hood in the on position. The red and black wires have to be wired together for the fan and hot light to work! We re-mounted the hot light with a wire tie to the clutch cable- not pretty but need to know when overheating!

can u make it so that the fan stays on the whole time? mine never comes on unless I leave it idle for like 5 minutes..

I was wondering the same too, never seemed to be running?
so heres how you can check it with out cutting wires
take the ect sensor connector and ground it to your bike(thats the thingy coming out the top of your thermastat housing)
ground the connector that attaches to it start your bike and it should run if not you got probs they also tell you to check your
thermastat by removing the therm and placing it in a pan and heating the coolant to specified temp and checking the resistance

good luck :D

Does the temp light have to be moved when you get a carbon fiber hood or something?
