Just the handlebars, wheels, front bumper are the only things that will fit both. The a-arms on the 450 are wider. THe shocks might work, we put them side by side and it looks like they would bolt up. Someone said that they won't work because the geomentry is different. You might be able to use some of the cables and lines. I did use a 400ex clutch cable when mine broke, I couldn't use the adjuster at the lever, its just a little short but will work in a pinch.

the front shocks WILL bolt up fine from a 400ex to 450r...450r shocks need some fabricating to work on 400ex...anyways..heres a pic. of my works & it sits alot lower due to shorter length but handling has improved 100x's

The gas cap, front bumper, wheels, thumb throttle, handle bars, and clutch lever all bolt up with no fab needed, the front shocks I know will not work, I tried it, I have TCS ZPS and it dropped it drastically, the front shocks on the 450r were too tall for the 4 hundy and kept the front way high, I am not sure on the rear carrier but it is a good possibility it will work, I hope this helps

Is that the stock linkage and shock off the 450R with the 400EX axle?
